Carl Sagan was a genius.

Those in the know have been saying for fucking ages* that humans are starting to do enough serious shit to fuck shit up on this little blue dot. They said, and still say that we should actually start to use our fucking brains a bit. Unfortunately for Carl, while he was rather clever, he underestimated the shear stupidity and shockingly low levels of average intelligence of humans. So yeah, the system works perfectly for those who are at the top of the finance ladder. Fuck the rest. Well done humanity. We'll need proper fucking massive slap round the chops to actually change as a species.
